Driving Yanolja’s AX Culture Through Global AI Collaboration
Tech · 2026.05.08
Recently, conversations around AI have been filling Pangyo’s 10X Tower. From technology summits to global developer community meetups, a series of AI-focused events have taken place throughout the spring. While each event had a different format and audience, they all centered around the same question:
“How can AI be meaningfully integrated into the way we work and the services we deliver?”
At Yanolja, we are building an organization-wide AX (AI Transformation) culture centered around our Agility Lab and AX Team. This means rapidly experimenting with new technologies, integrating them naturally into real workflows and services, and creating an environment where employees can confidently incorporate AI into their day-to-day work.
The various technology events held recently were also part of Yanolja’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with the global AI ecosystem and drive AI-powered transformation together.

In mid-April, Yanolja hosted the ‘Tech Terminal and Innovation Summit 2026’ in collaboration with AWS. Held for the second consecutive year, the event aimed to broaden awareness of AX (AI Transformation) across the Yanolja Group while sharing real-world examples of how Yanolja’s travel data infrastructure and AI technologies are being applied across services and development environments.
The summit featured speakers including Youngjin Kim, CTO of Yanolja Consumer Platform Division, alongside development leaders from Yanolja, Yanolja Next, and NOL UNIVERSE. Together, they discussed how generative AI and AI agents are being used in real operational environments, sharing both the opportunities and challenges their teams are experiencing along the way.

The venue also included hands-on experience zones where participants could explore various AWS AI services such as Kiro and Amazon QuickSight firsthand. As attendees interacted directly with the latest AI technologies, conversations naturally emerged around how AI could reshape workflows and customer experiences within the travel industry.
Through its collaboration with AWS, Yanolja is actively building an internal platform powered by AI agents. These efforts focus on automating repetitive tasks while continuously exploring new ways to improve development productivity and operational efficiency.
Ultimately, these changes go beyond simple process optimization. They are helping create more personalized travel experiences for travelers while reducing operational burdens for travel businesses across the industry.

The Claude Code Meetup is an official developer community event supported by Anthropic. Since first launching in Korea, the meetup has expanded to more than 50 cities worldwide, serving as a global platform for developers to connect and exchange ideas. The Pangyo meetup was especially meaningful as it marked the first collaboration with Yanolja.
During the panel sessions, speakers shared a variety of real-world use cases, including the latest Claude Code updates, onboarding optimization strategies, and engineering workflow examples already being applied in real working environments.

Among the panelists was Kyuhong Byun from NOL UNIVERSE, who shared firsthand experiences using Claude Code to improve team operations and solve practical challenges. His session resonated strongly with attendees by demonstrating how AI is transforming developers’ daily workflows and collaboration methods, as well as how AI can be integrated into real platforms and solutions.

The event brought together not only Yanolja Group members, but also developers from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. Even after the sessions ended, conversations continued naturally as participants exchanged ideas about how they were applying AI in their own work environments and adapting to rapidly evolving development cultures.
More than simply learning about new technologies, the meetup became an opportunity to reflect together on how AI is reshaping the future of work and software development.
Although the AWS Tech Terminal and Innovation Summit and the Claude Code Meetup were very different types of events, they both reflected the same direction Yanolja is moving toward.
The travel industry is built on countless interconnected data flows and operational processes — from reservations and settlements to customer service, operations management, and personalized recommendations. Through collaboration with global AI partners, Yanolja is rapidly experimenting with these changes and applying them across both services and operations.
But technology alone is not enough. What matters most is how naturally AI can become part of everyday workflows and organizational culture.
Rather than simply adopting AI technologies, Yanolja is focused on building environments and experiences that enable employees to integrate AI naturally into their daily work.
Through continued collaboration with global AI companies, Yanolja will continue advancing its AX transformation while shaping the next evolution of travel experiences.
