I'm the Lead of the PI (Price Intelligence) team at Yanolja NEXT. My name is Yeji Kee.
I've been working here for three years now, and my experience at Yanolja NEXT is that the team really respects individual decisions. Even if it takes time, we’re encouraged to keep improving for the best outcomes, and that process is trusted and respected. Thanks to that, we can keep exploring new approaches on our own and grow individually, while the organization grows with us. This kind of autonomy and flexibility really helps us find the best possible solutions.
Yanolja’s mission is “To make travel 10X easier,” and I think at Yanolja NEXT, you can truly see, experience, and feel that mission in action.
The team I’m currently leading is the Price Intelligence Team. We use AI and machine learning technologies to provide customized pricing solutions across the suppliers. By offering these pricing solutions, we aim to increase revenue and automate management.
Dynamic pricing has been around in the hospitality industry for quite a long time. The booking window for each stay date is quite long—you can book 30 days in advance, 60 days in advance, or even up to a year ahead in some cases. With such long lead times, pricing is usually adjusted based on current reservation trends and expected demand.
Traditionally, suppliers would adjust prices manually. But the automated dynamic pricing model we’re building uses AI and ML models to automatically adjust prices by forecasting demand, considering market competition, and analyzing how sensitive demand is to price changes. Based on each situation, it optimizes pricing to maximize revenue.
I think Yanolja NEXT is not an R&D organization that simply researches and tests technologies and stops there. The technologies we develop are quickly applied in real-world environments, and they actually change the travel experience for customers. That brings a huge sense of responsibility and great fulfillment in our work.
There’s Yanolja Cloud Solution, YCS, based in Surat, India, and we’ve been collaborating with them on various solutions. We also provide what's called a Property Management System, or PMS, where our Automated Dynamic Pricing solution is offered as a feature.
When I’ve been thinking about a problem for a long time and suddenly a new model or idea like, 'What if we try this?' pops into my head, I go to my teammates and share the idea. We start bouncing feedback back and forth, and honestly, that’s my favorite part.
What was once just a fleeting thought in my head gets shaped into something real through discussion, eventually becomes a complete model, gets translated into code, goes through the pipeline, and is deployed to production. Being part of that entire journey is what I believe makes teamwork truly rewarding.
The concept of Dynamic Pricing is actually quite simple — 'Adjust prices to maximize revenue'. But when you actually build and apply the model, you realize it’s not that straightforward. That’s why, in our team, from the very first problem definition to the birth and growth of the product, we’re able to take the lead and experience the entire process.
It’s not just about technical growth, but also about building a product-driven career and gaining hands-on experience. That’s the kind of environment we work in.
First of all, our team is good at questioning things and constantly looking for problems to solve. In order to solve them, even if we can’t come up with a perfect solution right away, we keep improving through iteration, analyzing, and conducting further research.
In doing so, we evolve toward near-perfect outcomes. We value that process of refinement, and those who share that goal would be a great fit for our team.
