Yanolja, a global travel tech company led by Group CEO Sujin Lee, announced that its translation-focused AI model, EEVE ROSETTA by Yanolja NEXT, has received strong recognition from the global AI community following its public release on Hugging Face.

EEVE ROSETTA is a multilingual large language model (LLM) developed by Yanolja NEXT, Yanolja’s AI R&D organization, and is designed specifically for high-quality translation. The model supports 32 languages, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English, as well as underrepresented languages such as Tagalog and Persian.

Unlike conventional translation models that are primarily optimized for English-centric use cases, EEVE ROSETTA combines multilingual datasets with context-aware translation algorithms, enabling stronger performance across complex data formats. By evaluating context, nuance, semantic meaning, and emotional tone in source text, the model delivers translations that are smoother and more natural.

Following its release, EEVE ROSETTA achieved top-tier scores across major evaluation metrics, including BLEU, chrF, and MetricX, in the highly regarded WMT24++ translation benchmark. Despite being significantly more lightweight—using approximately 4 to 12 billion parameters, compared to over 70 billion parameters in many general-purpose models—the model demonstrated strong translation quality not only in major languages such as English and Chinese, but also in low-resource languages including Tagalog and Gujarati. These results highlight the competitiveness and efficiency of Yanolja’s multilingual translation technology.

Building on EEVE ROSETTA, Yanolja plans to further advance language solutions applicable not only to the travel industry but also to a wide range of global business environments. As an open-source translation model, EEVE ROSETTA is expected to support high-quality multilingual communication for partners across industries, including hotels, travel agencies, tourism platforms, e-commerce, content services, and customer support operations.
