Certified by Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency (NIA), meeting all 40 accessibility evaluation criteria
Expands barrier-free smart hospitality environments to create a more inclusive travel ecosystem
Sanha IT, a cloud hospitality solutions member company of global travel technology company Yanolja, announced that its WINGS SMART KIOSK has received the Intelligent Information Product (Unmanned Information Terminal) Information Accessibility Quality Certification, administered by the Ministry of Science and ICT and operated by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
During the certification process, Sanha IT's WINGS SMART KIOSK successfully met all 40 detailed evaluation criteria covering both hardware and software, demonstrating outstanding accessibility and usability. Designed with diverse users in mind—including wheelchair users, people with visual or hearing impairments, individuals with low vision, and older adults—the kiosk passed both expert technical assessments and real-user usability testing.
The kiosk is equipped with a range of accessibility features, including a dedicated barrier-free control panel, text-to-speech (TTS) voice guidance, a Braille keypad, screen magnification, and high-contrast display options, enabling convenient use for everyone. It also incorporates an audio security control system, privacy screen masking, and extended operation time settings to further enhance both accessibility and data security.
Building on this certification, Sanha IT plans to further expand barrier-free smart hospitality environments that enable all guests to access lodging services without limitations while fostering a travel ecosystem that is more accessible and convenient for everyone. The company will also pursue initiatives to reduce equipment adoption costs for small and medium-sized accommodation operators through various partnership and support programs.
"Following the revised Anti-Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities Act and its Enforcement Decree, the installation and operation of barrier-free kiosks became mandatory in January this year, driving growing market demand," said Kyunghoon Cheon, Co-CEO of Sanha IT. "We plan to actively leverage various government support programs, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Smart Store Technology Supply Program, to help ease the financial burden on small business owners adopting these solutions. Going forward, we will continue creating an environment where everyone can access hospitality services without barriers, promote inclusive travel, and contribute to building a barrier-free smart hospitality ecosystem."
The WINGS SMART KIOSK is integrated with WINGS Easy PMS·CMS, Sanha IT's proprietary property and channel management solution, enabling centralized hotel operations management. The system synchronizes reservations, room inventory, and pricing in real time across more than 40 major domestic and international online travel agency (OTA) channels, minimizing operational errors such as overbookings. It also supports four languages—Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese—as well as passport and foreign resident registration card scanning, allowing international travelers to complete contactless check-in with ease.
